Hey there, it’s October 1st!
October 1st is a significant date as it marks the day Nigeria gained independence 63 years
ago.

This month, we will commemorate the performances of Nigerian choirs that have excelled
in Nigerian Art Music (NAM), secular and sacred, as a means of promoting our music,
languages, and culture to the rest of the world.

The Remarkable Nigerian Choirs is a series that will feature four choirs for the four weeks
of October. From a variety of exceptional choirs that enrich our performance landscape,
these four choirs were artistically selected.
