Dear Artists and Composers,
We are excited to announce a call for submission of Nigerian Art Music Compositions for the year 2024.
We are looking for composers, experienced or new, who have a passion for music that reflects the depth and beauty of Nigerian cultural heritage. Our preference is for compositions that incorporate traditional Nigerian instruments, folk melodies, and innovative contemporary interpretations of art music.
Selected compositions will have the opportunity to be performed at our virtual and live concerts, providing a platform for exposure and recognition within the global artistic community. Additionally, the chosen composers will have the opportunity to collaborate with renowned musicians and professionals in the field, offering valuable networking, visibility, and creative development opportunities.
Submission Guidelines:
– Compositions must highlight the Nigerian art music’s unique rhythms, melodies, and cultural influences, showcasing its rich and diverse traditions.
– Compositions should be original works that have not been previously published.
– Compositions can range from vocal to instrumental, solo to ensemble.
– Include a written description of the composition, detailing the inspiration and cultural significance behind it.
